What is Usability? We can define usability as the extent to which a product can be used by users to achieve particular goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use.

Effectiveness means the accuracy and completeness with which users achieve those goals.

Efficiency means resource use in relation to the accuracy and completeness with which users achieve specified objectives.

Satisfaction means the absence of discomfort, and a positive attitude in the use of the product. It is, therefore, a subjective factor.

Usability refers to the speed and ease with which people carry out their tasks through the use of the product object of interest, an idea that rests on three points: Approach to the user, Extensive knowledge of the usage context, and Satisfaction.

It is the users, not the designers and developers, who determine when a product is easy to use. That's why usability is a major factor in the development of any Internet project, which is achieved by adapting the process of development to the principles of User Centered Design.
